Yukon Air Service

Yukon Air Service is a small, single-pilot company owned and operated by Kirk Sweetsir. With help from my family I provide charter air-service throughout Alaska and specialize in supporting visitors to the Arctic and Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuges and surrounding areas. Founded in 1985 by Roger Dowding, this established and well-known business has been passed down among friends with a common appreciation and long experience of the Arctic Refuge; first from Roger to Don Ross and most recently to me.

I have been living and flying in remote regions of Alaska and the Arctic all my life and in the Arctic and Yukon Flats Refuges since 1986. During this time, I have worked closely with many people, groups and organizations traveling and working throughout the Arctic and can advise you about the feasibility of any ideas or objectives you have for your trip and perhaps offer some suggestions or alternatives to help with your planning.
