Trip planning
The most useful tool available for planning a trip to the refuge is a set of good quality maps. I suggest you purchase 1:250,000 scale USGS topographic maps of all the area you might potentially visit to begin with. Once we agree on a feasible route for your visit, you can purchase the appropriate smaller scale maps (1:63,360) to cover the areas you would like more detailed coverage of.
